The obvious and the not so obvious.
There is the obviuos, and the not so obvious, picture of a Lily of the Valley. There is the documentation, the styled and the one with the clue in it. Which of the photos speak to you? Sometimes a picture speaks
to a feeling, a memory, or sometimes to a use of purpose. Sometimes to your aesthetics. Have you thought about what your are looking for in a picture?
There might be a message to the beholder. There might not.
In the flow of things I just do it. Am I not thinking? I will tell you, I sometimes find photography quite exhausting. First comes the mindfulness of nature. Second comes the feeling. Then I point my camera and my brain lights up like a Christmas Tree. I'm thinking about absolutely everything at once.
...and then you need to pause, and go beyond yourself.
The not quite finished...
I have started a new project, a new approach to photography. Taking pictures that are not quite finished. I won't start doing just the one style. That would not be me. But anything taking me into the Green World is a good world. It is when you know your patch of wood leaf by leaf you stop documenting and start experimenting.
"Take pains. Be perfect."
Or not so perfect. You know what I mean.
